Doubble_Space and Castellum are proud to present “Prognosis” by the acclaimed artist duo Mats Bigert & Lars Bergström, in celebration of their recent honor as recipients of the 2025 Art for the Globe Award.
Presented for the first time in Stockholm, Prognosis continues the duo’s bold and inventive engagement with climate and environmental issues—an artistic commitment that earned them the prestigious award.
About Prognosis
Since the 1990s, over a hundred billion tonnes of ice have melted into the oceans yearly, causing Earth’s poles to drift and threatening ecological balance. While rising sea levels are a visible consequence, the psychological impact of losing snow and ice is less understood. The exhibition at Doubble Space (May 13-May 18) reflects on this loss, featuring sculptures of melting glaciers from around the world depicted as “irritating piles of urban snow”. Made from paraffin, they slowly melt as they burn like lit candles, paying tribute to a vanishing natural identity.
Special Announcement

Doubble_Space
At Norra Bangården, inside a historic gasworks owned by Castellum, you’ll find Doubble_Space—run by Julia Anjou and John Scarisbrick. It’s a setting for art, sound, design, dinners, and curated gatherings. They also co-founded ODDNORM, the Nordics’ first multisensory dining experience, with food by Persona.
