Tornado Touch Down
2010

Outside the bus terminal in the Swedish city of Borås, a twisted steel-pipe tornado has touched down. The commissioned sculpture reflects the city’s history as a center of the textile industry, which is currently undergoing a rapid transformation. The sculpture is a temporary berth for travelers: its yarn base provides an opportunity for them to sit down, wait for their travel connection, and look up through a cloud of confusion and unraveled threads.
